St Marylebone Parish Church is seeking to appoint an exceptional and inspiring fundraiser for the newly created role of Development Director. The post-holder will be responsible for leading the fundraising campaign to raise £4m to support our Heritage Lottery funded project, Changing Lives.
At the heart of central London, St Marylebone Parish Church is a living and worshipping community of faith shaped by its historic engagements with music, art, community building, education, wholeness and healing.
As part of the Senior Management Team, working with the Rector, Operations Director and Parochial Church Council (PCC), the Development Director will create and implement a fundraising strategy to raise the capital required for completion of the Changing Lives project as well as ongoing revenue funding.
The successful candidate will be flexible, entrepreneurial and excited by the opportunity to help shape the future of the church. S/he will have demonstrable fundraising skills and a proven track record of securing five/six figure major gifts.
This is a new and very significant role within the church. The post-holder will report directly to the Rector and interface with members of the PCC on fundraising matters.

Buildings’ Assistant required, assisting the buildings team to ensure the smooth running of events such as classical concerts, meetings and church services.
The work will include setting up rooms, making tea/coffee and minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs. Good communication skills are required as the job will involve answering calls, responding to emails and dealing with visitors to the church and contractors.
It would suit a student or someone interested in working flexible hours, 10 - 15 hours per week, covering some afternoons, evenings and weekends.
